We also offer "HIGH QUALITY" OFFSET CD imprinting for the FULL color project that must look it's best !
1. All printing must appear within the area of 20mm-116mm areas as indicated.
a. If you use the CD mirror surface as your background then keep all copy within the area of 46mm-114mm
b. If you print a solid background color over the mirror surface of the CD, then you may print within an area from 20mm-116mm. The 2mm stacking ring can remain a clear element on the CD, OR also print over it. It is not recommended for type. For total over-print there is an additional charge of $0.08 per unit. (area from 20mm-46mm)

2. Layout & Register: 1 to 3 colors are accepted at no additional charge. For 3 or more color designs, provide separate art (film) for each color. Add $0.05 per unit for extra colors over 3. Picture CD's with FULL COLOR add a total of $95.00. Font specs are minimum 6pt., minimum line weight is .5pt for any positive image. Minimum line weight for any reversed, drop out or negative image is 1pt. IMPORTANT REQUIREMENT: Registration marks are required in four places, 90 degrees apart, 1 inch from artwork. The line thickness should be 1/4 point maximum. This quality controls placement of all images and type (see Diagram B). For idendification purposes, each piece of film must MUST show a material part number, or selection number for inventory tracking purposes, which is to be INCLUDED within the CD art.

3. If you provide computer art: output at 600 DPI or higher for maximum clarity. For 4-color process, all pictures and images MUST be saved in the CMYK format. Be sure to include all fonts and pictures separately as well as within your completed file. A separate piece of art is required for each color. Acceptable software: Adobe Pagemaker 6.0 & up, Quark Express (IBM or MAC)

4. If you provide film; specs are film positives right reading, emulsion up. A separate film positive is required for each color. Halftones or tints are 85 lines per inch maximum. All film MUST be accompanied by a printed color sample. PMS color identification number and selection number should be located 3 inches above image on each piece of film furnished. Techsonics can reproduce any color from the "Pantone Color Formula Guide 1000" as well as the "Pantone Metallic, Fluorescent, and Pastel Color Guides". We can print up to 6 colors, including 1-color background. If printing 4-color process, more brillant colors can be achieved by utilizing a solid white background, also called a "white donut". You should include this as a separate piece of film and it too must contain proper identification within the CD art layout. ALSO in 4-color process, be sure to output your file to film in the CMYK format or all pictures may not be reproduced in full color.

SPECIAL NOTE: Your files and FILM must be produced to only show the circle. Therefore all bleeds over the proper CD dimensions will not be accepted. You must mask out any over-bleeds of pictures or images so they do not show on your file or films outside the specified CD dimensions specifications.
